MonDeGos dwells on the atmosphere of a rainy and gloomy seaside metropolis surrounded by endless dark woods and clear blue lakes - 5 000 miles from Seattle, where MonDeGos favorites like Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam originated from. MonDeGos is a band that creates a unique Nordic rock sound standing on the shoulders of the 90’s Seattle sound and West Coast 90’s rock acts like Stone Temple Pilots and Faith No More; combining the elements with both classic and modern synth sounds reminiscent of the music of Jan Hammer and Moderat.
Lead vocalist Tero Kuusi’s singing encapsulates MonDeGos’ idea of beauty and emotion. Lead guitarist Mika Taskinen adds melodic drama to the sound. Rythm guitarist Juanjo Galan, bassist Mikko Vienonen and drummer Martti Viljanen create interesting and energetic Groove while keyboardist Sami Metelinen fills the soundstage with synths, grand piano and hammond. MonDeGos paints melodic pictures of rainy days full of colorful details and shimmers of hope.
